STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY THROUGH QUALITY FLEXIBLE FAMILY SERVICES ACROSS THE TUMUT REGION

Management Committee 

TRFS has a management committee whereby members have ultimate responsibility for directing the activity of the organisation, ensuring it is well run and delivering the outcomes for which it has been set.

Every management committee member provides leadership to the organisation by:
  • Setting the strategic direction to guide and direct the activities of the organisation;
  • Ensuring the effective management of the organisation and its activities; and
  • Monitoring the activities of the organisation to ensure they are in keeping with the founding principles, objects and values.
The Management Committee consists of representatives from the local community who bring both expertise and understanding of the wider community to TRFS community.

Management Committee Positions 

The Management Committee is made up seven (7) committee members.
  • Chair person 
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Public Officer
  • And at least three (3) Ordinary Members. 
The Management Committee meets every 4 weeks. 
Our Annual General Meetings are generally held in November.

The Tumut Regional Services Inc. Management Committee plays an important strategic role in deciding our future direction. 

Interest is sort from people with a variety of skills and expertise and from a diverse range of backgrounds. New Members are welcome to join ay any time.


Our sustainable future will benefit, and relies, on interest from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People who are interested in contributing and participating in our services as a Committee Member.

New Members Support

Support is available for new Management Committee Members. They will receive an induction to the service, provided with a TRFS Committee Member Welcome Pack that includes relevant documentation such as:


  • Roles and Responsibilities
  • TRFS Constitution
  • Calendar of meetings
  • Copies of previous minutes
  • and an invitation to attend online committee member training.
